116th APSA Annual Meeting Discusses Advancing Anti-Democratic Pressures Worldwide

04/12/2019

From September 10 to 13, 2020, in San Francisco, California, the American Political Science Association (APSA) promotes its 116th Annual Meeting, which will focus on "Democracy, Difference and Destabilization."

ABCP will be present at the opportunity with a panel focused on the discussion of the crisis of democracy in Latin America, with special attention to illegal and undemocratic trends and their regional expressions.

Until January 14, 2020, work proposals will be accepted from different disciplines aimed at discussing the theme "Democracy, Difference and Destabilization", from a perspective that reaches the recent changes that occurred in democratic regimes of different stages.

The analysis of the crisis of democracy in Brazil and other Latin American countries can also bring to the debate the coexistence, in recent decades, of a stabilization of liberal democracy and high levels of inequality and violence on the continent.
